Fall 2024: Urban Ecology (BIOL 5440)
A journey into the world right outside our windows. The goal of this course is to understand the ecological principles that underlie the dynamics of urban ecosystems and to unravel the complex chains of unintended consequences that result from our policy choices.
Spring 2025: Advanced Statistics (BIOL 6500)
Statistics is less a set of techniques than a way of thinking: making precise models of complex systems and rigorously challenging them with data. This course introduces the fundamentals of statistics and programming to prepare graduate students to deal with the unexpected results of their own experiments.
